Deloitte and the Budget 2015

RTÉ Digital in collaboration with Deloitte Ireland, launch the ‘Budget Day campaign’, via ‘HTML5 Home Page Takeover’ on Ireland’s No.1 Multi-Media News Website, RTÉ.ie.

The creative idea for this successful, innovative campaign was designed and developed
in-house by the RTÉ Digital Commercial team in collaboration with Deloitte Ireland.

RTÉ provides comprehensive coverage of Budget Day across television, radio, online and mobile platforms.  For this campaign, ‘Budget Day’ and the ‘Homepage Takeover’ Ad Format on RTÉ.ie, was identified as the perfect medium to reach the broad audience, invite user interaction and drive a high level of brand awareness.

“This campaign featured multiple display advertising formats built in HTML5 to reach the target audience – Homepage Takeover, Billboard, Leaderboard, MPU and Video, along with an interactive menu incorporating Twitter and LinkedIn, to engage with the target audience in an exciting and relevant way”, said David Fogarty, RTÉ Digital Commercial Coordinator & Ad Operations Team Lead.

“Coverage of Budget 2015 saw increased activity on RTÉ.ie from​ 1.6 million page views to over 2.8 million, as audiences turned to RTÉ for trusted, comprehensive coverage. The campaign was hugely successful with a 3 times higher than average CTR on the Homepage Takeover. The campaign achieved an Interaction Rate of 6% (**average 4.32%), and a post activity conversion rate of 30%”, added David Fogarty, RTÉ Digital Commercial Coordinator & Ad Operations Team Lead.
