RTÉ’s branded content team, RTÉ Create, today launched a new food series, Chef Adrian Eats Ireland, on RTÉ Player. The series was created in partnership with Carr’s Crackers and MEC Wavemaker.
Feeding Ireland’s obsession with food and eating out, Chef Adrian Eats Ireland is dedicated to finding the best restaurant dishes in Ireland, and showing you how to make them at home. Starring the talented young chef, Adrian Martin, Chef Adrian Eats Ireland brings together three of Adrian’s great loves – Food, Fun and Ireland.
Fans of tapas, burgers, pizza, chicken wings or even the occasional spice bag will be drooling as Chef Adrian Eats Ireland serves up lots of delicious recipes. Following an online poll to find the best grub in Ireland, the show visited the winning restaurants in Cork, Galway, Wicklow, Sligo and Dublin to figure out the secret to their famous dishes. Chef Adrian then brings his knowledge and recipe ideas back to his outdoor kitchen as he cooks his version of the dish with a celebrity guest and studio audience.
This follows RTÉ’s recent announcement of plans to develop the next generation RTÉ Player, Ireland’s number one broadcaster VOD service. The new RTÉ Player experience will be a gateway into a world of great content, from box-sets and curated on-demand libraries across 10 genres, to exciting new original RTÉ Player shorts, as well as the ability to enjoy RTÉ’s live channels on any screen.branded content.

Short form content, like Chef Adrian Eats Ireland, is a focus so as to better serve mobile users and viewers on the move. Proving popular with audiences, the online extras and exclusive new shows on RTÉ Player attracted over 3 million streams in 2016.
